A Glossary of Literary and Linguistic Terms is an important philological reference book whose authors cope with the unnecessary and mistaken separation of linguistics and theory of literature successfully. The glossary comprises a lot of entries taking into consideration current quests in the field of linguistics and theory of literature. It is not an encyclopaedia although it ranges over the substantial terms, some of which are shortly defined and others presented by detailed entries. In view of this multitude of approaches and emphases, the glossary will be useful both for high school students and undergraduates. The edition is addressed to the broad masses of readers showing interest in the humanities. This glossary is not intended to replace the existing dictionaries in Bulgarian – it is meant to supplement them as well as to help readers to digest the terms.
