Is capitalism moral? Nobody can escape that question because we are all subjects both of morality and capitalism. As we work, we save and consume, we participate in the economic system of capitalism that some of us justify and condemn others, led by their moral and ethical beliefs. André Comte-Sponville (born 1952) is a French philosopher, proponent of atheism and materialism. He was born in Paris, France. He studied in the École Normale Supérieure, and is aggregated in philosophy.
