I Like Violent Films

Quentin Tarantino is one of the few directors who deservedly turned into a sensation with his first movie. "Reservoir Dogs" ruffled some feathers not only the audience but also among critics and filmmakers, and became a really cult film. “I make violent movies,” Quentin Tarantino announced in 2012. “I like violent movies. I’m on record about how I feel there is no correlation between art and life in that way.” This book is unique insight into the mind of one of the important modern directors, who have overmastered the occupation of cinema in the most plausible way - frantically watching great movies.

About the Author
Quentin Tarantino

Quentin Tarantino (born 1963) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, and actor. His films are characterized by non-linear storylines, satirical subject matter, and an aestheticization of violence, as well as features of neo-noir film. In the early 1990s, he began his career as an independent filmmaker with the release of Reservoir Dogs in 1992; regarded as a classic and cult hit, it was called the "Greatest Independent Film of All Time" by Empire. Its popularity was boosted by the release in 1994 of his second film, Pulp Fiction, a black comedy crime film that became a major critical and commercial success and judged the greatest film of the past 25 years (1983–2008) by Entertainment Weekly.
