The second book of Irena Georgieva - “For All Days And Afternoons”, contains poems and photos, like her first book – “A Cat in the Hallway”, but it entwines more skilful poetry and vision. Author of the photos, this time, is Gergana Zmiycharova (a photographer and painter); the most of them are self-portraits, on the other are: Irena and her home.
“For All Days And Afternoons” is shaped like a notepad launched in 2003. This is a diary with mouldy covers and pages steeped in coffee, wine and emotions. At its end the book has an envelope for letters in which Irena has set several old letters and baby pictures.
“For All Days And Afternoons” is a sincere, daring and an intimate book in which every reader can find a bit of themselves.
Irena Georgieva was a managing editor and later an editor-in-chief at the the weekly “One week in Sofia” free magazine. Now she is a contributor at the same magazine.
In 2007, during the “Mediamixx” festival in Albena, she has been awarded with the special award “The Most Talented Young Journalist Of The Year”.
In 2007 also is published her first book with poetry and author's photos - “A Cat in the Hallway”.
