There is always something happening on Cherry Street!
At dawn, the bat and the sloth meet to spend the day sleeping. On the top floor, Thomas and Nico wake up Lene. Andrea and Friedrich live downstairs. After work they go to the garden to make marmalade. On the first floor, someone is repainting the walls, children and cats are playing in the yard, and as soon as it gets dark on Cherry Street, the fox, the raccoon and the hedgehog wish everyone a good night.
Rotraut Susanne Berner (b.1948) is a German graphic designer and illustrator. She focuses on books for children and young adults.
She has illustrated over 80 books and over 800 covers. For her contribution as a children's illustrator, Berner was a finalist for the Hans Christian Andersen International Prize in 2002, 2004 and 2014, winning it in 2016.
