Food as a Mother, Body as a Child

In her in-depth work "Food as a Mother, Body as a Child", Rositsa Petrova introduces us - from the point of view of psychoanalysis and its most prominent founders - with our ideas about food and the body, about nutrition and its place in the structures of the psyche. With the main eating disorders, their causes and their impact on our inner world.

With many examples from her practice as a psychotherapist, which she analyzes in detail, the author encourages us to look into ourselves, into our past and present, and to make sense of our own mental history.

The book is intended for specialists in the field of psychotherapy, but also for readers with an interest in the mysterious universe of the human psyche.
