Home Reader is a collection of works for children from the Golden Fund of Bulgarian Literature. It brings together iconic works by Bulgarian writers from the 19th century to the present day, starting with Petko Slaveikov, Ivan Vazov and Uncle Stoyan, passing through Ran Bosilek, Dora Gabe and reaching Georgi Mishev, Georgi Konstantinov and Marko Ganchev.
The book encompasses unforgettable children's poems such as "Little Pencho" (P.R. Slaveikov), "Prayer" (Ivan Vazov), "Who Don't Eat Vegetables" (Tsanko Tserkovski), "The White Bunny" (Leda Mileva), "Cricket and Ant "(Alexander Bozhinov), "New Pants "(Vesa Paspaleeva) and others. Also included are works by P.K. Yavorov and Elin Pelin, suitable for children. Like any real reader, it includes short stories for children, didactive stories, riddles, word games.
The book is intended for pre-school children and the youngest students learning to read. Maria Nalbantova is the author of the wonderful illustrations.
