"These pages are a fragment from "Pleasant Memories" which Marquis de Bradomin, already very old, began to write while inexile. A charming Don Juan. Perhaps the most charming! He was unsightly, a Catholic and sentimental."
In this way Ramon del Valle-Inclan defines his tetralogy “Sonatas. The Pleasant Memoirs of the Marquis de Bradomin" (1902-1905) which represents the seasons of the year and corresponding stages of man.
The "Sonatas" were written in a tone of refiend and elegant decadence. Just in this work Valle Inclán best revealed his art and personal style: poetical, evocative and delightful.
