Kiril Eskov is a scientist, writer and publicist, born in 1956 in Moscow. He graduated from the Faculty of Biology of Moscow University, and then worked at the All-Russian Research Institute for Environmental Protection. He deals with paleontology and arachnology, writes popular science works and textbooks. He gained great popularity for his cryptohistorical books, in which, as he himself states, he examines fictional and real events through the lens of a scientist and historian.
