Georgi P. Stamatov (1869–1942) - a fiction writer with a distinguishable individual style, is one of the great masters of the short urban narrative in our post-liberation literature. An active contributor to leading periodicals, author of several books of short stories and daring journalistic materials, for nearly half a century he established himself as a writer who studied in detail the psychological problems and moral choices of modern man. Artist of the city, he creates a world that is European and universal.
