Milena Tsaneva

Corresponding Member of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Milena Georgieva Tsaneva was born in 1930 in Sofia. Daughter of the literary critic Acad. Georgi Tsanev and the poet Penka Tsaneva-Blenika. Literary historian and critic in the field of Bulgarian literature after the Liberation. Author of 14 books and numerous studies and articles. Long-term lecturer at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski ”, within the period 1980–1993 she was Head of the Department of Bulgarian Literature. For two decades, she worked at the Institute of Literature - BAS.
