The Serbian author Svetislav Basara (1953) has written more than twenty literary works, including novels, story collections, and essays. His style is sarcastic, grotesque, full of black humor. Basara has received numerous Serbian literary awards, and his novel “Fuss About Cyclists” (1996) is considered by his countrymen to be one of the ten best novels of the last decade.
