Jerry L. Wyckoff, Ph.D., a licensed psychologist, spent seventeen years as a psychologist and special education administrator in the Shawnee Mission (KS) school district, as well as a consultant to school districts in Chicago, St. Louis, and Kansas City. He has also been chairperson of the Stop Violence Committee, a part of the Kansas Committee for the Prevention of Child Abuse and has served on the professional advisory boards of C.A.S.A. (Court Appointed Special Advocates), C.H.A.D.D. (Children with Attention Deficit Disorder), and Twins magazine. Dr. Wyckoff is a frequent speaker for such groups as Parents as Teachers, the National Conference on "At Risk" Students, and the Kansas Governor's Conference for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
Dr. Wyckoff, along with Barbara Unell, co-authored Discipline Without Shouting or Spanking.
