Robert-Vincent Joule

Robert-Vincent Joule is a professor of Social Psychology at Université de Provence (France). He is the Head of the "Laboratoire de Psychologie Sociale". His research interests are in cognitive dissonance, social influence procedures, communication and more specifically "binding communication".

His best known work is “Petit traité de manipulation à l'usage des honnêtes gens” (“Concise Handbook of Manipulation in Honest People's Favour”, 2002), written with Jean-Léon Beauvois. The book is a bestseller that has sold 200 000 copies in France and has been translated in several languages.
