Anna Zarkova is a long-time investigative journalist, editor and commentor in "Trud" newspaper, columnist in "Galeria" newspaper, general secretary and member of the Board of Directors of the Union of Bulgarian Journalists (2020-2024). She is the author of the trilogy "The Great Murders" and the books "Burning", "From Vaptsarov to Zhivkov and the rest", "The Bulgarian mafia as I saw it", "The chief prosecutors" and "Free speech".
Zarkova is the winner of the "Eagle" - the Great Courage Award of the International Union of Journalists (Washington), and the "Golden Feather" (Sofia).
