Characteristics

The year is 1923 and the place is a small village in Sicily named Jesso. A brave boy leaves the known world and rushes with all the energy of his twenties to the new and unknown continent of America. From the shores of beautiful Sicily, Antonio Grillo dives into an ocean of dreams, friendships, loves, fabulous islands, pirates, prisons, submarines and unforgettable encounters. He experiences the sweet and the bitter side of life while fate presents him with unexpected challenges. Amidst plagues raining from the sky and volcanoes rising from the depths, he meets Ѐlide, dressed in the sea, the archaeologist Lucilla, his spiritual father Father Ardiri and his faithful companion Mathias.

With her masterful narration, which sounds epic yet light and engaging, Giovanna Giordano tells an odyssey of freedom of spirit, of the journey to the self, to the unknown corners of the world and of the soul, to the salvation you seek when fate leaves you no choice, to the power within you. To feel the breeze of freedom.
