The Artist Georges Papazoff as a Writer
The painter Georges Papazoff was born in Yambol, Bulgaria, in 1894 and died in 1972 in Vence, France. A Bulgarian artist who worked in Germany before settling in France in 1924, during the twenties and thirties Papazoff had a flamboyant international career, exhibiting in several European countries and in the USA. This book analyzes unknown novels and memoirs of his, translated in Bulgarian, dedicated to the French art world.

Rumyana L. Stancheva is a professor at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", doctor of philological sciences, doctor honoris causa of the University of Artois, author of books on Balkan studies and comparative literature (Romanian, French and Bulgarian literature). A special place among her publications is occupied by studies devoted to French-language writers and to the interactions between literature and arts.
