February 1927 The funeral of the banker Marcel Péricourt. His daughter Madeleine will inherit his financial empire. But, unexpectedly, her seven-year-old son, Paul, throws himself out of the window and falls onto his grandfather's coffin. He survives, but from this tragic moment on, the life of the mother and the son changes drastically. Madeleine is confronted with the greed and envy of her surroundings at the time when the colors of the fire that are going to burn Europe, are already on the horizon. Humiliated and devastated, Madeleine finds strength and wonders of ingenuity, to embark on an incredible adventure whose purpose is to avenge - for the pure joy of readers - to all of them who have obstructed her way.
