The Complete Fairy Tales (Illustrated by Iassen Ghiuselev)

The edition includes all the tales from Oscar Wilde's two classic collections, The Happy Prince and Other Tales and A House of Pomegranates (1892), the first intended entirely for children, and the second, which appears according to the author as the second volume, is for the "general public".

When Wilde published The Happy Prince and Other Tales in 1888, he did not expect much from this book. And it actually became his first commercial success. Verbal grace, artistry and sharpness of mind emanate from every page. In the collection magical tales coexist with animal stories, satirical parables. The pages are filled with his incomparable sense of humor and elegant expression, which he further develops to perfection in his plays.

This edition is published with the wonderful illustrations of Yasen Gyuzelev and translated by Zhechka Georgieva. Yasen Gyuzelev is one of the most prominent illustrators of our time. His art is characterized by a brilliant technique, inspired by the Renaissance, the good realistic schools of the 19th century, through the Pre-Raphaelites to the Secession. At the same time, his works are modern in their concept of design, perspectives, and play between light and dark.
