Characteristics

The book covers short journalistic texts written on various occasions in the period 2000-2024. The style is sometimes serious and sad, other times - cheerful, playfully intellectual. Some of the texts are longer and reflective, others are shorter and catchy, and their genre spectrum varies from articles and essays to short stories and short ironic texts on social networks. The horizons are mainly Bulgarian, but global problems are also discussed; the focus is on the present, but there are also texts heavy with the past.

The huge variety of topics inevitably passes through the author's personal perspective. Therefore, "Job and Jobbery" has no pretensions to scientificity - composed of colorful testimonies, it is a kind of mosaic picture of the Bulgarian transition to democracy - both of the last 25 years that we have experienced together, and of the winding individual fate of its author.
