For his work he has been awarded with many of the most prestigious international film distinctions, including “Oscar”, “Golden Globe”, “Cesar”, “Golden Palm” and others.

His films “All About My Mother” (1999) and “Talk to Her” (2002) are the most successful Spanish films of all time.
